The GCC General Secretariat participates in the "Ruwad" Conference for Entrepreneurship

In the presence and participation of HE Minister of Commerce and Industry of the State of Qatar Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, HE Khalid Ali Al-Sunaidi, Assistant Secretary for Economic and Development Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat, government officials and members of the Gulf business systems. Organized by Qatar Development Bank in cooperation with the Qatari Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Global Entrepreneurship Network in Doha, Qatar, the entrepreneurial event was held The largest and most comprehensive Gulf celebration of innovative entrepreneurs in the region is the "Ruwad" 2023 conference, under the slogan "Together, Create and Innovate", during the period 20-22 November 2023, and this conference included the third edition of the annual Gulf Entrepreneurs Forum, and the "Gulf Pioneers" hackathon competition, with the participation of innovative Gulf startups and competition within five main challenges in the field of digital transformation and its solutions. The "Ruwad" 2023 conference aims to stimulate the collaborative work of startups and SMEs in the GCC, enhance the knowledge and entrepreneurial capabilities of startups and SMEs, enable the culture and spirit of self-employment and communication between influential actors in the Gulf business ecosystems, exchange ideas and explore opportunities, to sharpen motivation, advance private sectors and promote a knowledge-based economy.This conference also included working sessions for officials in the GCC countries for the entrepreneur ecosystem, which discussed the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the GCC countries and the opportunities available for integration among the GCC countries in the field of entrepreneurship.
